Effective July 1, 2025, checks deposited through GoTyme Bank’s Mobile Check Deposit feature must follow a new format in compliance with the Philippine Clearing House Corporation (PCHC) Memo Circular No. 3821.

  1. What are PCHC Memo Circular No. 3821,3866, and 3893 about?​
    PCHC Memo Circular No. 3821 provides an update to the standard check format for all banks in the Philippines with a Mobile Check Deposit (MCD) feature starting July 1, 2025.

    PCHC Memo Circular No. 3866 and 3893 reminds and clarifies the standard check format that all banks in the Philippines with a Mobile Check Deposit (MCD) feature must comply with.

  2. When did GoTyme Bank implement the new check format?​
    In accordance with PCHC Memo Circular No. 3821, GoTyme Bank has been exclusively accepting the new check format since July 1, 2025.

  3. What are the changes in the new check format?​
    Changes made are as follows:
    • On the front of the check:
      • “GoTyme Bank” and Payee’s GoTyme Account Number written above the Payee Name.
    • On the back of the check:
      • Date of mobile check deposit
      • Payee’s signature​
    • For the issue date:
      • Date of issue must follow the format and be PURELY NUMERIC.
        *Other symbols such as forward slash (/) , asterisks (*), or dots (•) will not be accepted
    • For the amount in figures:
      • Amount should be in standard numerical form with a period (.) separating the centavos, and a comma (,) to separate thousands and hundreds.
        *Other symbols such as the peso sign (₱) or the letter P will not be accepted
    • For the payee name:
      • Should only indicate the depositor's name
        *Business entities or "CASH" are not accepted

  1. Can I still use my old checks after July 1, 2025?​
    No. Old-format checks will no longer be accepted for deposit or encashment after this date.​

  2. What happens if I issue an old-format check after the deadline?​
    Checks in the old format will be automatically rejected and returned. You will need to issue a new check using the updated format and resubmit it for processing to avoid payment delays.

  3. Are post-dated checks (PDCs) in the old format still valid?​
    No. PDCs in the old format dated beyond July 1, 2025, will not be honored. You must replace them with checks in the new format.​

  4. Who can I contact for more information?​

  5. Why are these changes to the check format being implemented?
    The new format enhances security and improves processing efficiency, aligning with industry-wide updates mandated by PCHC.

  6. How can I ensure my mobile check deposit is accepted?
    Make sure to follow the new check format requirements. Be sure to also use good lighting and a clear background when taking photos. Blurry checks may be rejected.

  7. What happens if my check has an erasure or has extra symbols?
    Checks with erasures, edits , or extra symbols not allowed by the new standard check format will not be honored. You must replace the check and ensure the proper format is followed without any erasures or edits.

  8. What happens if I'm missing details like centavos in the figure amount?
    If centavos (e.g., ".00") are missing, the check may be rejected—but you can add the missing amount and resubmit without replacing the check.
