If you hold dual citizenship, you can still open a GoTyme Bank account, but it’s important to ensure that the documents you submit match the citizenship you declare during onboarding.
At present, GoTyme Bank does not yet have a dedicated verification process for dual citizens. Therefore, applicants must choose one nationality to declare in the app and upload the corresponding valid identification for that citizenship.
Submitting IDs from two different countries or declaring mismatched citizenship details may result in verification issues or account rejection.
Tip: If you hold both a Philippine Passport and a foreign Passport, it’s best to decide which citizenship you’ll use for banking purposes before starting your application. This helps avoid delays or documentation requests.
GoTyme Bank is continuously working to enhance onboarding options for dual citizens and overseas residents. Future updates may include expanded ID verification and multiple nationality support.
