What happens if there’s system maintenance or downtime?

Transfers may be delayed or fail during system maintenance or downtime. This can happen on the sender’s bank, the recipient’s bank, or the InstaPay network itself:

  • Sender’s bank/e-wallet: You may have trouble initiating transfers.
  • InstaPay: Transfers may fail or get stuck as “In-Progress.”
  • Recipient’s bank/e-wallet: Transfers may fail or get stuck as “In-Progress.”

If it's scheduled maintenance, you'll usually see an advisory banner in the app. For sudden maintenance, transfers may fail without warning — and you may need to check the receiving bank's status directly.
