What happens next?
Chubb will respond within 5 business days. If approved, claims are settled within 30 days, once all documents are received. If additional investigation is needed, this may extend to up to 90 days.
How much will I receive?
Chubb will decide if the item will be repaired, replaced, or if you will get reimbursed. The final amount is either the purchase price or the policy limit, whichever is lower, minus a 10% participation fee.
Here’s another example:
Your smartphone costs ₱20,000, but it was accidentally damaged within 60 days from purchase date
Your Shop Protect covers this item and Chubb approved of your claim, and chose to reimburse you
You will receive ₱18,000 (Calculation: ₱20,000 - 10% = ₱18,000)
Don’t forget: If your claim is denied, Chubb will provide the reason in writing. You can request a review—and if needed, escalate it to the Insurance Commission.
